REAMS was tasked with leading an asset verification and condition assessment programme to support the long-term asset management and maintenance planning of the Akzo Nobel estate. The project also further supported the FM transition objectives across 18 sites throughout the UK consisting of office and industrial space covering more than 20,000m².
REAMS deployed technical M&E surveyors across each of the 18 buildings on the estate to measure and assess the condition of the installed M&E assets and implement an asset tagging regime. The on-site surveys were carried out utilising the ELIAS data collection application.
Detailed site reports were produced utilising the ELIAS reporting system, including five year CAPEX budget plans and CAFM load templates with allocated maintenance tasks.
The resulting data was bulk loaded to CAFM platform to ensure that the assets were managed on an individual basis by the onsite technicians, whilst building up a clear and concise audit trail and history on each asset.
Akzo Nobel is a Dutch multi-national company, which creates paints and performance coatings for both industry and consumers worldwide. Headquartered in Amsterdam, the company has activities in more than 80 countries and operates from multiple sites in the UK.
