REAMS have been appointed by Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity to undertake a building services asset data structure and validation project as part of the handover of the newly developed Zayed Centre for Research into Rare Disease in Children, on behalf of Great Ormond Street NHS Foundation Trust and University College London.

The Centre is being developed as a partnership between Great Ormond Street Hospital, University College London and the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and was made possible by the generous gift of the family of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan of UAE.  It will be the first purpose designed building of its kind in the world and a centre of excellence that will tackle some of the most challenging scientific questions in paediatric rare disease research.

REAMS will deploy their ELIAS software to structure the asset hierarchy data sets, capture and upload the asset data and create and prioritise any maintenance or reactive works that may be required. This will also highlight any risks and underlying challenges in running the installed systems and assets, which are complex.

The client will benefit from detailed reporting and dashboards providing maintenance scenarios that will facilitate the effective and efficient maintenance planning, resourcing and budgeting for the charity.
