REAMS broaden their horizons at the world’s largest Facilities Management (FM) event

Last month saw the 2019 Facilities Show at the ExCel in London. The Facilities Show is the world’s largest FM event, with over 280 eager facilities and building management suppliers, 100 sessions of CPD content and thought-leadership debates.

REAMS had a busy day attending the event, networking, building relationships with current and potential clients as well as enjoying several thought-leadership debates around smart buildings, risk management, flexible working and the future of the industry.

Graeme Ponton, Strategic Development Director, met with representatives from Pressac to discuss Internet of Things (IoT) and how it can be used in relation to asset management and how it can deliver real business benefits to field service operations. Graeme also caught up with CBRE and HVAC FM to discuss previous and current work as well as have a look what they were exhibiting.

Looking around the stands exhibiting and those talking at the event, you can see that technology investment and how it can evolve the Facilities Management world is a key topic at the moment. Drone and 3D scanning technology stands were big hitters, services which REAMS currently offer but are focusing on expanding as they start to make technological developments and enhancements to their core services with a new acquisition, so speaking to those managing their stands was really interesting.

After the business part of the day was over, the REAMS team enjoyed some fun networking opportunities and experiences across various parts of the exhibition including virtual golf, thanks to HVAC FM, and the games arcade. There were also plenty of opportunities to look at new product launches as well as introduce the REAMS business to potential clients who may need our services.
