We require a dynamic new Business Development Manager to join our growing business.
Reporting to the Strategic Development Director, you will join our existing sales and marketing team. The role requires particular focus on developing opportunities directly within the UK healthcare and higher education markets, along with management of some existing accounts.
Diligently researching and understanding our market sectors, you will identify opportunities for engaging with new clients to support our growth plans whilst learning and understanding more about customer strategies, tendering opportunities, and competitor analysis.
KEY RESULT AREAS
You will be involved in direct sales, engaging with existing and potential customers establishing and developing sales opportunities in respect of digital technology, data strategies, building condition & asset surveys & professional services.
You will identify new customer contacts and establish who the decision makers are within their organisations by way of research, direct engagement, attendance and participation at industry specific forums and industry events.
You will also be supporting the Strategic Development Director with sales opportunities and bids by compiling robust and consistent PQQ/Tender Information to ensure that REAMS can become a partner of choice.
You will also be required to assist the MARCOM team, along with work winning services.

We are seeking a self-starter who is an excellent communicator, capable of interacting confidently with colleagues, clients, suppliers, and professional personnel at all levels. You will be flexible, adaptable, and always aiming to learn new skills whilst being able to operate with minimal supervision.
You will be a strategic thinker and be able to demonstrate relevant experience of developing clients and opportunities over a period time.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience of working within the sales function in the built environment, or engineering markets, with experience of operating in the healthcare and higher education markets
Experienced and knowledgeable in all Microsoft Office applications as well as being IT literate to be able to operate and administer on-line resources such as Salesforce CRM, SharePoint and other web-based applications
You must have a strong command of written and oral English and have experience of compiling written proposals that are articulate and well structured
Financial acumen to be able to understand and support the development of sometimes complex commercial budgets that are built up from granular detail and use detailed and intricate Excel formulae
Previous involvement in bid management and/or account management within the built environment market and experience in a project management/technical FM or software sales environment is desired but not a requirement.
