We are delighted that we have achieved one full year, equating to nearly 60,000-man hours, incident free. This fantastic achievement demonstrates a strong health and safety culture within the business and also recognises our staffs’ commitment to ensure everyone gets home safely.
Our staff, including over 50 engineers and surveyors, follow robust safety procedures to do their job, and this achievement has highlighted how focused they are in ensuring a safe working environment. Although our work can be relatively low risk, there are still some health and safety risks that we need to be aware of, and the dedication and diligence shown has been instrumental in making sure we end the year with no incidents or RIDDORs.
Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences’ Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR) puts duties on employers, the self-employed and people in control of work premises, the responsible person, to report certain serious workplace accidents, occupational diseases and near misses.
We have worked hard to implement a robust health and safety procedure to facilitate the success of an accident free year. This success will only be maintained with a continued focus, communication and awareness on ensuring a safe working environment.
